The Death Of SEO Sri Lanka And How To Avoid It
While the Indian Subcontinent has been getting ready for the next big thing, Seo Sri Lanka has got it all wrong. Rather than be poised to lead the SEO charge in the coming years, Seo Sri Lanka is actually finding itself slowly sliding back in the rankings. Now we have the Indian SEO Tiger on the back foot and SEO Sri Lanka is looking to recover its lost ground.
SEO in Sri Lanka is in a very fragile condition and many in the country are wondering how they can climb up out of this, particularly with the recent switch from the prestigious Mindshare Group to The Pigeon Group. Mindshare's victory has been somewhat dented by Sri Lanka's decision to consolidate its advertising media into a single firm, but it may be too early to tell if the move will be enough to save the Sri Lankan economy.
The move to consolidate the advertising market is just one of the reasons that many in Sri Lanka are considering the question 'How did Seo Sri Lanka fall so far?' Sri Lanka's marketing structure is based on the age-old model of Seo: Social Media, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social networking and blogging, and link building.
But the widespread use of these mediums for marketing purposes in the 1990s has turned out to be an online marketing strategy that has resulted in complete failure in most cases. And while the government has been preaching the virtues of SEO in Sri Lanka and SEO marketing, this has not resulted in anything more than localization of information (saying 'we have a Sri Lankan child mindshare and SEO marketing strategies will help us get the word out about this child! ').
The SEO structure in Sri Lanka is based on putting all advertising efforts behind the marketing objectives of the marketing firm which has thus developed into a broken system. In fact, the time for the government to come up with a sustainable SEO strategy is right now!
Search Engine Optimization of Sri Lanka's Internet marketing structure should not have been done by The Pigeon Group alone. Many in the SEO community in Sri Lanka have been calling for the resignation of the president of Sri Lanka for some time now and with good reason; he has announced that the government will not continue with this flawed marketing system.
The problem in using Search Engine Optimization in the current structure of Seo in Sri Lanka is that people are getting trapped into the data analysis cycle (analyzing and optimizing the text content of websites) and end up losing focus. Instead of focusing on the marketing objectives of the business, the SEO structure has brought the customer focus to an extent where customer support is rendered nearly impossible, while the business misses the opportunity to evolve the customer experience in line with the marketing objectives.
This is not a good thing in Sri Lanka, because our customers are using the Internet to find answers to their questions and solutions to their problems, and the Internet is becoming the backbone of our economy. Rather than remain stagnant, Seo should use the Internet to bring forth the information that they want to share with their customer base.
The decision to adopt Search Engine Optimization as the marketing solution for the marketing structure in Sri Lanka was a huge mistake. At this point in time, the best way to move forward is to rethink everything and to try and shift the focus to align the priorities with the marketing objectives, which are to drive awareness and to make the customers happy.
The Government should then take the leadership role in implementing new strategies and tools that will help the SEO community grow. Some of the time, using Social Media for marketing purposes could help move things along; but there need to be some practical changes to the structure of SEO marketing in Sri Lanka.
Instead of placing the focus on just getting the keywords onto the page, there needs to be a proper mindset shift towards learning the fundamentals of SEO in Sri Lanka. That way, we will be able to focus on building our knowledge base of SEO and make use of our SEO tools to deliver products that are much better than what they have ever delivered before.
It is in this manner that we will finally achieve the state of SEO in Sri Lanka which will make our products stand out and become the brand that all others aspire to be.
